BARNUM & BAILEY CIRCUS STREET PARADE,Waterloo, Iowa-August 27, 1904

This film shows approximately 85% of the 1904 Barnum & Bailey Circus street parade at Waterloo, Iowa, August 27, 1904.  Smoke seen in the distance at the end of the film is believed to mark the approach of a steam calliope (and the end of the parade) however the film runs out before calliope comes into view. A variety of noted circus wagons can be seen including the Twin Hemispheres Bandwagon,  (pulled by a 40 horse hitch), the Orchestra Melchior wagon, the Fielding Band Chariot, the Golden Age of Chivalry tableau wagon, the America tableau wagon,  various cage wagons, camels, elephants, a walking fife and drum corps, mounted performers, and small pony fairy tale floats.
